Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo Is Coming To Get You In November

Over on the Twitter side of things, the European arm of Nintendo have announced that a mega sized Yoshi, presumably the size of a small child, is on the way. Excuse the sensationalism, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but regardless it is still very big. Nintendo have not given out size specifications yet, but looking at provided photos it looks to be about the size of four regular Amiibo, and may be as tall as a Wii U Gamepad standing on its end.

Humongous Yoshi will make his sizeable debut on 27th November. However, it is likely stores will have preorders up long before that date. I have a feeling preorders of this awesome, but still very dumb thing, will be gobbled up super quick – so keep vigilant. He’s very big, so you should not be able to miss him.

Nintendo boast that this supersized Amiibo will work just like its tiny cousins, as it has an NFC chip jammed in it’s foot. Alongside it’s monstrous size, the monstrosity has a large price attached- €40 (around £30/$40). That is close to triple the RRP of a regular Amiibo (well at least the ones that are not rare and stupidly marked up anyway).

This abomination joins the other three Woolly Yoshi Amiibo – pink, blue, and green – that were released alongside Yoshi’s Woolly World back in June. You might remember our review were a cool guy said the following.

To me, there are two things in this world guaranteed to cheer people up when they are feeling down. First on the list would be watching Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia” music video on repeat, and second is sitting down in a comfy sofa to enjoy Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. Before falling ever further down this Buzzfeed-like hole, let’s just say Yoshi’s Woolly World debuts a little bit further down this very unofficial list, but that’s still not a bad place to be.

If enourmous Yoshi is not enough for you, Nintendo have gone on to reiterate that the ROB, Duck Hunt Dog, Mr. Game & Watch and Mii style Amiibo are still on the way 25th September. Nothing stops this train

Yoshi’s Woolly World is still not out in the US. They have to wait until October 16. So sad.
