Director of The Grudge working on horror game for Wii

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Takashi Shimizu, director of the Ju-on: The Grudge / The Curse series of films, will be helping to make a horror game for Wii which is inspired by the movies.

The game will not be a direct tie-in to the moves, and will instead have different characters involved to tell a similar story in a new medium. The game is said to be 60% completed right now, and could release this summer in Japan. 1-2 players modes are touted, but no details on this as of yet.

Gamekyo have scans, and posted them here and here. There are faulty flashlights, rusty doors, eerie darkness, and menacing mannequins in the screenshots. That’s enough to scare the poo out of me!
