Activision has confirmed they will be closing Z-Axis come the end of May. The company’s latest effort is the development of the PS3 version of Quake Wars: Enemy Territory, which they are still working on right now. The developer was recently renamed to Underground Development a few short months ago.

Activision is closing its Foster City development studio which had less than 45 employees,” comments the publisher. “We are currently making efforts to find opportunities for all employees at other Activision studios.

The company was also behind Aggressive Inline, which was a nice alternative to the Tony Hawk games back in 2002. They were also responsible for BMX XXX, but the less said about that the better.

Like always, we wish all the people involved in this closure all the best in their future endeavours.
