Between adopting a new pup we found abandoned on the street (whom also decided to eat our internet cables and knock us offline for half a week) and travelling to the happiest place on Earth for Halloween with the family, this month’s Round-Up is sadly another rather lackluster one. Fortunately, many of the demos we got from the October Steam #NextFest have remained available after the event, so we’ll be catching up as best we can throughout November!
I can’t believe it’s already that time of the year again – the end-of-year videogame sweep before DarkZero’s GOTY event. AND THERE’S STILL SO MUCH I NEED TO PLAY!!!!

That’s right – out of the selected demos this month not one of them received a 5/5 quick rating. Of course I could bump up some of the better ones the fill the gap here but I feel that just wouldn’t be fair to all of the previous winners and those still to come!
This stamp of quality is important to me when I’m playing demos and I wish it to remain an elite award, given only to those I am truly taken aback by.
NOTE: Ratings are basically representative of how much I enjoyed the demo and the likelihood that I’ll come back to the title in the future (or even would liked to have continued playing it right then), with regards to gameplay, quality, and (of course) personal preference to genre, etc. A zero represents that the game is too non-functional to really get a feel for it. It is essentially a non-rating.
