DarkZero Awards 2005

Welcome to the second annual edition of the DarkZero Awards, This year voting was done via the greatness that is the DarkZero Community Forums. By means of a points ranking system we strived to crown the best games of the year among other important awards. Every game you see named here was had to be voted for at least once to get on our list. After 2 weeks of voting by our members and with a completed list firmly in hand we have determined that the following games, developers and consoles to be the very best of the year. Well done to all that appeared on the list you have made 2005 a fantastic year in gaming, we can’t wait till 2006!

We decided to offer the console of the year to the console with the highest combined amount of points from our rankings of games and as you can see the PS2 won! Even with many consoles out there much more powerful than it, the PS2 it still succeeded in claiming the top prize with games such as Pro Evolution 5, Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry 3 and Fahrenheit. Resident Evil 4 was the biggest contributor with 92 points and thus helping the Ps2 win the top hardware award.

Developer of the Year

We decided to offer the developer of the year to the developer with the highest combined amount of points from our rankings of games and as you can see Nintendo have won again, this continuing there form from last year. Mario Kart DS was the biggest contributor this time with 92 points but games like Yoshi’s Touch and Go and Another Code Pikmin helping to propel Nintendo to 152 Points. Congrats Ninty!
