EA sends illegal weapon to game journalists in press kits
Game Politics report that one of their staff received a promotional package for Godfather II this afternoon. Of course, they are not alone, as many other members of the gaming press will no doubt have received the kit as well – although they’ve kept quiet for now.
In the kit there was many Godfather related objects, such as immigration documents, a cigar, a pack of matches, a length of wire, and shocking a set of brass knuckles.
It seems EA forgot that the possession of brass knuckles is illegal in many states in the US – in particular Pennsylvania, where Game Politics is based.
Furthermore, brass knuckles are also illegal in California, the state in which EA is based in the US, which means they caused an offence by purchasing or gaining accees to the knuckles in the first place.
