EA Respond To The Wikipedia Controversy

EA have responded to the EA/Wikipedia controversy news that Shacknews apparently ‘broke’ (5 hours after us, we’ll have you know) and has commented to GI.biz that “EA sometimes updates websites with info about the company, games and employees. For example, EA has sent a correction to Yahoo Finance when they had misspelled the name of an EA executive.

The rest of the internet is reporting the Shacknews used the Wikipedia Scanner tool on EA’s Wikipedia page to match controversial changes with an IP address in a range that belongs to EA’s Redwood City offices. Yeah, of course they did… we think they just read the Wired news update a few hours after us, and got the credit for writing the very same article, suspiciously the same some might say, that we did hours before.

Bah, humbug.
