EA date new Potter game in UK, coming 3rd July

Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. have confirmed that the video game to tie-in with the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be coming to UK shores on the 3rd July. The game will be released across multiple systems – Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation2, PSP, DS, PC and mobile devices.

All of the games will be developed by EA Bright Light, who are based in Guildford. They also worked on previous Potter titles, including the most recent game released in the summer of 2007, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The new game will see players return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive his sixth year. Wizard duels, mixing and brewing of magical ingredients in Potions, leading the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and meddling in Ron’s romantic entanglements will all be on show throughout the course of the game.
