Dungeons & Dragons co-creator Dave Arneson dies aged 61

Dave Arneson, an American born game designer, entrepreneur, and a man best known for playing a hand in the co-creation of the rules of Dungeons & Dragons. He passed away on Tuesday April 7th after a battle with cancer.

His death comes a little over a year after the death of Gary Gygax, who was the other party involved in the creation of D&D.

The rules of D&D are one of the main reasons RPGs exist in their current form today, and without the input of the two men gaming could have turned out very different than it is today

Arneson is survived by his wife and daughter. DarkZero sends our condolences to both them, and all his other friends, family and relations.
