DSi Shop will get new games every week

Nintendo has announced today that their Wii-kly Update newsletter which advises of upcoming WiiWare and Virtual Console games, is being renamed to Nintendo Download. The reason for this is that with the launching of the DSi on Friday 3rd April also comes the grand opening of the Nintendo DSi Shop.

Just like the Wii Shop Channel, the Nintendo DSi Shop will offer a growing library of downloadable games, with new titles being added every week. Nintendo says that the first update will be on Monday 6th April, but on the Wii us Europeans don’t tend to get access to the new games until Friday, so we’ll probably have a few more days to wait.

Lets hope there are some decent offerings on the DSi store, so that Nintendo can justify the One-Hundred-And-Fifty-Pounds price tag.
