Drive!Drive!Drive! is Racing onto PS4 and PS Vita

Gordon Midwood, head of development team Different Cloth, has taken to the PlayStation Blog to announce his team’s game Drive!Drive!Drive! is coming to PS4 and Vita. The game is a unique racer being published by Choice Provisions that will arrive in 2016, but what’s unique about it? Well players race on three tracks at the same time. Midwood describes the game as a “mixture of arcade racing and track management.” How does that work? Well players can switch between any of the three tracks at any time, when you switch from a track the computer takes control of the car you were driving. Unfortunately the computer controlled cars aren’t exactly the most talented bunch of racers in the world, so the player will have to switch between tracks to set them on the right path after they make a mistake. Does that put the player at a huge disadvantage? Nope not really, the opponent cars aren’t exactly the brightest either, so a mix of incompetent computer controlled cars with and against the player should help balance out the fact that the player is trying to micromanage three cars at the same time. Unless the players not very good either, in which case good luck!

If that’s not enough for you Drive!Drive!Drive! is set across multiple different galaxies each with their own gravity settings. There’s even a create a track mode where you can create and share your own tracks as well as playing other peoples. You can challenge your friends to a multiplayer race, although its not specific about how many people can play at once. On top of all that the soundtrack was created by synth/prog/post-rock band ZOMBI, who you can hear in the background of the above trailer. As stated above the game will release in 2016 but I’m afraid I can’t be more accurate than that.
