Dragon Age: Inquisition’s GOTY Edition will not have the DLC on the Disk

There isn’t much to say here, but a little background first: A few days ago DarkZero reported on the announcement on a Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition that’s to be released on the 6th of October for PS4, Xbox One and PC. As is the norm with Game of the Year editions Inquisition’s will include all of the games DLC packs, which are: Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent and Trespasser. As it turns out the DLC will not be pre-installed on the disk but instead it’s included as a download code on a voucher.

This news is a little disappointing for fans that would like a complete Inquisition package on one disk because it means the GOTY Edition is little more than a repackaging of the original disk with a voucher thrown in. However it should still represent good value for money so if you haven’t already played Inquisition there’s little reason to complain. Why would EA not just include the DLC on the disk? By including it on a voucher that can only be redeemed once they kill the resell value of the game, which means there’s little reason to buy it second hand and that means more new copies should be sold.
