Danny Elfman contributes to Fable soundtrack

Microsoft Game Studios announced today that music celebrity Danny Elfman has composed the theme for the upcoming Xbox RPG Fable.

The three-time Academy Award nominee is best known for his work in composing the soundtracks for literally dozens of popular films, including Chicago, Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice and the recent critically acclaimed title Big Fish. Fable is Elfman’s first venture into the world of video game soundtracks, he worked with a hand-picked orchestra and recording team to produce a theme in full 5.1 Surround Sound.

The theme should be the first thing you hear when you load the game for the first time latter this year, and if his previous works are anything to go buy it should be outstanding.
