ChoicesUK Set For Administration

We have to admit that secondary to play.com’s infamous sales, ChoicesUK, well at least the online portion, was quite a good part of the interweb for those looking for a few gaming bargain. In fact, even some newly released titles saw a nice mark down in price on the site. However, after quite a good run there is now some bad news as it has been revealed that the Games, DVD and video retailer is now £13m in debt and as a result will have to go into administration as soon as possible.

In a statement the firm commented that “The directors have decided that it is in the best interests of the creditors to seek to appoint administrators as soon as possible.” In even more bad news Reuters report that the chain stopped trading as of yesterday and its shares closed at 10.25p – a huge drop on the 264.25p in was at in April 2002.
