Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Will No Longer Have Campaign on Last-gen Versions
Yesterday Activision announced that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will no longer be featuring the standard single player campaign mode, as it has been built to “leverage the next-gen hardware”.
Multiplayer and Zombies mode will still be included, but the campaign will remain exclusive to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Previous-gen versions will be available at a lower price. As a consolation it will also include a digital copy of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, which no doubt has already been played to death by those excited for the new game.
The game has a certain reputation as there is a crowd who “only get it for the multiplayer”, but I can’t imagine those still playing on last-gen machines not being annoyed that they are getting an incomplete version of the game.
