Bungie Confirms No E3 Presentation or Preview of New Game

Well, that just happened. In Bungie’s weekly mailbag announcement posted on its website, one of Bungie’s employees confirmed that we won’t be seeing even a glimpse of a new game this year at E3 2012.

After being asked “[h]ave you guys finished your new game presentation for E3“ by a Bungie forum member, one of the mailbag participants – no name is given – responded with “[n]ope. We never started one, and we’re not going to be at E3 in any official capacity this year. Some of us will be there, lurking from booth to booth, but don’t expect any announcements.” So while it’s probable that you may unexpectedly run into a number of Bungie employees, you won’t be seeing even a glimpse of the new game. While the phrase not “in any official capacity” might seem to leave some hope, Bungie’s recent comments have all but sealed even a sneak peek at the new Destiny universe. Looks like E3 2012 can’t come soon enough.
