Borderlands Legends puts shoot and loot action in your pocket

Rumoured since last week, Gearbox has announced the impending release of Borderlands Legends, an top down RPG action game featuring the protagonists of the original Borderlands. Coming to both iPhone and iPad, the game will feature a randomly generated lot system much like the one found in its console counterparts.

According to Entertainment Weekly, who got an exclusive first look at the game, Borderlands Legends will also feature a levelling system that unlocks a range of abilities that can be used in combat. Also of note is the ability to control all four Vault Hunters at once, allowing for tactical cover based gameplay. Along with “screen filling boss battles” and randomised objective based missions, Borderlands Legends looks like it could be  a superb compliment to the Borderlands franchise.

The game drops onto iPhone for $4.99 and iPad for $7.99 on October 31st.
