Bigger 360 Memory Card And XBLA Limit

At the Games Developers Conference Microsoft today announced plans to launch a 512MB Memory Unit for the Xbox 360. To go along with that they also officially revealed they will increase in the official size limit of XBLA games from 50 MB to 150 MB. This announcement however was already expected – although the guessed limit was a bit off.

The 512MB Memory Unit will be available worldwide beginning April 3 and will retail for an estimated retail price of $49.99 in North America. The Memory card will be pre-loaded with the hit XBLA title Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved for a limited time. This announcement has forced MS to drop the price of the original 64MB Memory Unit from $39.99 to $29.99.
