Big changes coming at Sony says The Times
The Times are reporting that sources have informed them Sony is on the brink of a corporate upheaval. According to the site, this could lead to various job cuts, sweeping changes to management and alteration to the current manufacturing processes.
The site goes onto reveal that most of the changes will be imposed on Sony Japan, with factory closures and the abolition of several major divisions happing before the end of February.
A quick trip to Wikipedia tells us that the biggest Japan studios are Clap Hanz (Everybody’s Golf series), Polyphony Digital (Gran Turismo series) SCE Japan Studio (Project Siren Team, Ape Escape series and LocoRoco) and Team ICO (ICO, Shadow of the Colossus), so it is possible one or more of these could be affected in some way.
