Bayonetta given a Fall 2009 release date

At their ongoing conference taking place in Japan, Sega and Microsoft have announced that the Platinum Games developed Bayonetta will be released Fall 2009. Regretfully, this is not all that exact of a date, but at least it is better than the even vaguer “coming 2009” we have had up until now.

With this conference taking place in Japan, and in front of an audience mostly made up of Japanese journalists, then this date should be seen as the games Japanese release date. However, it is likely we will get it on PS3 and 360 around the same time – if not earlier.

A while back Platinum Games told us that Bayonetta will not just be hard, it will be “sadistically hard“ game, filled with “hardcore battle action.”
