Arkham Asylum one of the best games of the year says Eidos

Eidos have spoken out to say the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum will be one of the best games released this year, and will go on to set a new benchmark for licensed video games.

“We expect Batman Arkham Asylum to not only be the biggest game of the summer but one of the stand-out games of the year,” Eidos’ head of UK marketing Jon Brooke remarked to MCV.

“It’s as close to perfect as we’ve ever come, it looks amazing, plays beautifully and has a rich twisting storyline with enormous replayability. I’m confident enough to say that it will set a new benchmark for licensed games and it’s going to establish itself as one of our best games ever.”

A demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum is currently in some Gamestop stores in the US, but no downloadable version is planned as of yet
