Allison Road Kickstarter is cancelled in favor of Team 17 Publishing

Today the team behind the P.T. inspired horror title, Allison Road, announced that they are going to forego their Kickstarter campaign and take an offer to be published by Team 17. The Kickstarter had raised £145,959 with nine days left to reach its goal of  £250,000, so things were looking doubtful. Lilith said the following on the the updates page:

We have decided to withdraw the Kickstarter campaign to allow us to commit 100% to an opportunity that will give us the chance as a team to create the best game possible.

As to who is publishing the game, it looks like Worms developer and The Escapists publisher Team 17 has stepped up to help finance the game and release it.

We are delighted to announce that we will be joining Team17’s highly successful games label.

If you don’t know who Team17 are, they are most known for their Worms franchise, however, they run a fully independent games label. For us it’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a label that looks after not only such a massive gaming franchise, but also supports developers like Playtonic,Mouldy Toof and many others.

Working with Team17 will give us the chance to make our game unhindered creatively, but at the same time will give us the resources, support and experience that only a 25 year old studio can give.

Lilith also adds in the update that they are looking into options for fans to get involved in the game’s development later on but for now they are going to go very quiet so they can “focus on making Allison Road the best horror experience it possibly can be”.
