Administrators put TimeSplitters IP, and Free Radical up for sale

It may not be as worthy of a mainstream news report like Woolworths and Zavvi, who are getting many column inches at the moment, but just like those companies, what is left of Free Radical is getting sold of. The reason for this is due to the company now being officially in administration – with a company called ResolvePartners handling the finances.

ResolvePartners will therefore be putting up all of FR’s assets for sale, either separately or as a whole. This means that any publisher/developer could come forth and put a bid in. For example the Second Sight and TimeSplitters IP’s could be purchased on their own, orFree Radical, albeit with it hugely diminished workforce of just 40 employees, could change hands a swell.

If TimeSplitters IP was bought it is not known if the work that was done on TimeSplitters 4 over the past year would also be included, or if the new owners would have to start from the ground up again.
