K-Mart leaks PS3 Slim price and date?
US retailer K-Mart has seemingly leaked details of a Playstation 3 price cut, and new, slimmer version of the console, ahead of official confirmation from Sony. The above banner was briefly posted on the company’s website earlier today, before being swiftly pulled. The image in the banner clearly isn’t a new console, but the words speak for themselves.
The site also now has a listing for a PS3 Slim, costing $299 and with a release date of 24th August (next Monday). The listing used to read, “PS3, SLIM High-Definition Blu-ray player for the best movie experience. Free PLAYSTATION Network membership. 120GB HDD for downloading games, music, videos, and photos. Includes DUAL SHOCK 3 controller. HDMI output for 1080p resolution.” but this has now also been removed.
If Sony doesn’t announce a PS3 Slim and price drop today then we’ll eat our SixAxis. The only question now is, which was a worse kept secret, the PS3 Slim or the PSP Go?
