79 year old Shirley is playing Skyrim on Youtube, and the world is a better place

When everyone else is getting mad at possible paid games coverage, misrepresentation of the medium by certain outlets, and a bunch of other outright awfulness, it seems there is still some good hearty entertainment to be had on YouTube. A 79 year old grandmother called Shirley Curry has begun uploading her playthrough of Skyrim to Youtube. Thanks Reddit. She has been talking about her gaming habits on Twitter for a while, but this will be her first playthrough of a game, or at least the beginning of one.

Her style reminds me of the tone Bob Ross use to take during his “The Joy of Painting” episodes. Even though she is not painting “happy little trees,” she still manages to make murdering someone with a Greatsword seem relaxing and downright pleasant.
