360 Drops To £135 In Parts Of Japan

Japanese retailer chain Tsutaya has lowered the price of a Xbox 360 Premium Edition from 39,795 yen (£180) to 29,800 yen (£135). Even though this is not an official price reduction from Microsoft the said chain of stores pops up many places throughout Japan (kind of like a Tesco in the UK or a Wal-Mart in the US) it is likely that the price drop should have some effect on sales of the console. Tsutaya went on to say that the new price will stay for a long period of time so it is obvious this is a reaction to the bad sales over the past few months. It is still uncertain whether other retailers will follow this new price in the near future.
