Video Game HQ launches – DarkZero featured
A new project has launched that showcases video game critics and their reviews. Here’s the elevator pitch:
The video game critic often goes unrecognized. The majority of gamers remember a score a game received, and they’ll usually remember the source. The actual name of the critic? Not anywhere near as often.
All other entertainment industries recognize and honor their critics. There are awards for the best movie, music, book, and TV critics. What do we have?
We have Video Game Review HQ.
Behind VGRHQ is a small group of former and current video game journalists and critics. Their combined professional experience amounts to over 77 years, 42 industry events attended, 11 different websites, and 3 different newspapers. They choose to remain anonymous as VGRHQ, keeping the focus on the critics themselves, and promise not to pass judgment.
We like nothing more than pointing out little-known critics with a ton of drive and promise!
VGRHQ will feature anyone who obviously loves video games, loves to write great reviews, and does the gaming public a service each and every day. A twist we’re particularly keen on is they won’t just include reviewers from major sources, but critics from the smallest sites as well.
It will be interesting to hear about what others sites are producing and I hope this project will give critics renewed encouragement and inspiration for what they do.
Lastly, we are thrilled that the first VGRHQ Critic Spotlight features DarkZero’s own Dominic Sheard!
