Unravel

Unravel coming February 2016

The physics-based puzzle platformer Unravel is coming 9 February 2016, publisher Electronic Arts announced today, along with the official story trailer (below).

The title was originally announced at E3 earlier this year under development by Coldwood Interactive. Initial response was very positive, with gameplay akin to LittleBigPlanet and Limbo, but the real highlight was the stunning graphics.

In the trailer, a red ball of yarn drops down a flight of stairs, unraveling into our aptly-named protagonist, Yarny, who starts making its way through the beautiful world inspired by the Scandinavian landscape. It also shows off some of the physics-based puzzles in the game.

Coldwood Interactive is an independent game studio based in Sweden having mostly created sports and fitness games. This is their first venture onto the current-gen consoles.

You can preorder Unravel now on Origin for £14.99, but it is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One in February. For more information on the adventures of Yarny and Unravel, visit the official website here.
