Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

A new trailer has been released today for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The new trailer shows off customisable Ki Blasts, new characters and transformations.

DOOM

On 29th July, 2016 free update 2 will hit DOOM, which includes two new multiplayer game modes. Exodus is a one-flag capture-the-flag mode with an added twist of constantly moving bases and flags. Sector is an objective-based capture-and-hold mode where players compete to take control of zones and then hold them to score points. Both modes can be played on any existing or future maps. This update also adds some tremendous tools and fun new capabilities for SnapMap fans, including: customizable weapon wheel functionality – so players can carry and select multiple weapons, just like the campaign; jump pads with logic to set distance, speed and direction; 30 brand-new Hell-themed modules; an expanded weapon list; a new playable demon – the Mancubus – as well as a laundry list of improvements to the Community HUB, editor and logic capabilities. Check back here early next week for a detailed list of additions and changes. These new modes and all of the SnapMap content and updates are free to all players.

Book of Demons

Book of Demons, an action RPG announced for PC and Xbox One, releases on Steam Early Access today. Book of Demons is a deck-building hack and slash adventure game, where it’s the player who decides the length of quests. The game is the first instalment of Return 2 Games – a series of original mid-core titles, inspired by the early golden days of PC gaming.

Mafia III

2K and Hangar 13 today released a new trailer for Mafia III titled “Cassandra – The Voodoo Queen,” the second in a series of six features based on the upcoming open-world crime game rolling out in the coming weeks. This feature highlights Mafia III’s mysterious and ruthless Cassandra, one of Lincoln Clay’s three lieutenants who join forces with him to dismantle the Italian mafia.

Paragon

Channel the power of Agora to bury your enemies with the latest Hero to join the Paragon roster, The Fey. Drawing from nature’s power, The Fey is a Support Caster who specializes in crowd control and can harass Heroes in her lane. Her Untamed Growth ability throws out a explosive plant that does AOE damage over time. Her Bramble Patch creates a line of thorny brambles that can slow multiple Heroes. Harvest Nettles refunds mana on successful hit while her Ultimate, Fly Trap, summons a gargantuan plant that drags you in and applies serious damage. The Fey will be available for players in Early Access on August 2.

The King of Fighters XIV 

More KOF XIV team traielrs with Team Psycho Soldier getting the love. First off, we have the psycho ball flinging Athena Asamiya. Athena is a cheerful and friendly high school girl who is adored worldwide for being a famous pop star. She has a strong sense of justice and always puts on a worthy show for her fans on stage and in the ring. Athena utilizes a variety of psionic abilities and will be a terror to any opponent in The King of Fighters XIV tournament. Next up, we have Sie Kensou, a goofy Kung Fu kid with a penchant for dragons. He fights with a hybrid Kung Fu and psychic style, and has a lot of potential to become an unstoppable fighter. Oh, he’s also in love with Athena and hopes to impress her one day with his fighting ability. That’s as good as any reason to fight right? Lastly, we have the drunken master Chin Gentsai. Chin is a very ancient fighter who lulls his opponents to sleep with his drunken antics before exploiting their carelessness. He is both master and mentor to the two younger members of Team Psycho Soldier, and wants them to test their psychic abilities in the tournament.

Yooka-Laylee

Yooka-Laylee was successfully funded on Kickstarter in June 2015, amassing a UK-record £2.1 million from more than 80,000 backers. Kickstarter Backers who pledged applicable Toybox tiers will receive their PC, Mac or Linux digital codes via email on July 28th. As promised in the Kickstarter campaign, the Toybox isn’t a traditional ‘demo’, but a self-contained, spoiler-free sandbox designed to give Yooka-Laylee backers a taste of the platforming to come in the final game.

SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell

Today all hell will break loose! SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell is being unleashed on Steam with a 20% first week discount for only $11.99 (€11.99 / £8,79). We reviewed it and gave it a rather great score.

ARK: Survival Evolved

Studio Wildcard today releases content-rich package (v245) offering ARK: Survival Evolved players a mega update to fantasy map The Center while fully launching Primitive+, the second player-created mod to be made an official part of the ARK game. Studio Wildcard also has brought to life two new creatures, Pelagornis and Allosaurus, and has materialized a new fishing rod and fishing mechanic, along with a flurry of additional gameplay features. All content is available starting today as a free download on Steam PC.

Defect

Strategy and creativity play hand in hand as players build custom spaceships to take into battle. With access to more than 175 components and over a billion ship variations, players create spacecrafts capable of eliminating their enemies. However, ships must also have strategically-placed weak points as it will ultimately fall into rival hands. Defect includes a campaign with more than 50 missions and four other single player modes and is available on Steam for $14.99 USD / €14.99 and playable in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Russian.

Infinium Strike: Broken Overlord

1C announces that Codex Worlds will be adding new content to Infinium Strike. Named Infinium Strike: Broken Overlord, this first downloadable content (DLC) for the base game is to be released for PC (Windows, Linux, Mac) and consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) in 2017. Both games will also be presented at Gamescom this August. With Infinium Strike: Broken Overlord players will again be taking command of the Freedom Strike’s weapon systems. Thrown into new deep space battles of a new mini-campaign, they will fight for hours not only to save the human race, but also to free the space beasts known as Bubba from their enslavement by the Wrog.

Battleborn

A cold-blooded killer, Pendles the Roa hails the water-world of Akopos. But don’t let his sweet pair of sneakers fool you. This assassin will sneak up behind you, eviscerate you with poisoned kamas, then slink away again in a blink of his one remaining eye. Pendles – the second of five free new heroes coming to Battleborn – is available early starting today on all platforms for Digital Deluxe owners and Season Pass holders through the in-game Marketplace with a hero key. He will be available for everyone else to unlock for free starting August 4.

Day of Infamy

New World Interactive, the team behind Insurgency, today launches Day of Infamy onto Steam Early Access for PC and Mac. Based on the successful mod for Insurgency with more than 175,000 subscribers, Day of Infamy has transformed into a full-fledged standalone game built with Source Engine.

Severed

Drinkbox Studios announced the release of the awesome Severed on iOS, their exciting new touch-enabled action game available on the App Store. Severed puts players in the role of Sasha, a one-armed warrior, who has embarked on a danger-ridden quest to find her family. Players will hack, slash and swipe their way through both nightmarish monsters and uniquely challenging puzzles.

Nep-Nep Connect: Chaos Chanpuru

Compile Heart has released a teaser trailer for Nep-Nep Connect: Chaos Chanpuru, its free-to-play card game due out for PS Vita later this year in Japan. Will it come to the Western world? Maybe, as we sure love some Nep-Nep here.

Wild Guns: Reloaded

2016 marks the 30th anniversary of Natsume Atari Co. Ltd. (Formerly Natsume Co., Ltd.) and in celebration of this major anniversary, the two companies are remaking Wild Guns and bringing it to the PS4 for the first time with Wild Guns: Reloaded. Wild Guns is a fast paced gallery style shooter mixing the Wild West with steampunk. Players can play as Clint, Annie or two new characters, or all together in multiplayer action! Each can jump, dive and roll to get out of the way of the barrage of bullets enemies let fly – or shoot them down with their own gun!

Lone Hero Studios new game Rising Islands is hitting the Steam-store August 2nd. Today, the launch trailer has been released, showing off the game’s fast-paced running and jumping from island to island, using the two dimensions to get through each level.
