The Other 99
The Other 99 drops onto Steam through Early Access. The Other 99 is a single player, first-person, action-survival game. The DLC keeps coming for Battleborn players. Today, Gearbox Software and 2K released the 28th Battleborn playable hero, Ernest, and revealed the 29th hero – Kid Ultra. Season Pass holders and Digital Deluxe owners can instantly unlock Ernest early starting today, and he will be available for everyone on Thursday, September 1 for 47,500 in-game credits. Honor. Duty. Explosions! Ernest is prepared for just about any threat – and this is in no small part thanks to his grenade launcher. The various explosive ordinance rounds help Ernest lean on the offensive or provide a mean line of defense for his team.

The final and definitive entry in Metanet’s minimalist platformer series hits PC today! The original N debuted 12 years ago on the PC, and N++ brings the series back to its home turf. Developer War Drum Studios announced today that Auralux: Constellations, the sequel to Auralux, is available now for iOS and Android devices for free. Players can also unlock each new constellation for $1-2 each or $10 to unlock all twelve. When unlocked, each constellation includes eleven levels, as well as two additional multiplayer levels.

Today, Ubisoft announced Rocksmith 2014 Edition – Remastered, an updated and improved version of Rocksmith 2014 Edition, will be available this fall. The remastered edition will retail for $59.99 for new users and will be available for current owners as a free downloadable patch on all platforms. Nearly four million people have learned to play guitar and bass through the award-winning Rocksmith method, and even more players will join their ranks when Rocksmith 2014 Edition – Remastered comes out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Mac on October 4.

Great Fire 1666: The Fire
The Museum of London will release the second map in the Great Fire 1666 series next Friday, 2 September. Titled Great Fire 1666: The Fire, the second map will follow the flames as they spread across the City of London from Pudding Lane and allow players to relive the historic event in a range of mini games. Players will relive the story of the Great Fire in a series of mini games; evacuating residents and their belongings, choosing which of their own household items to save and getting stuck into fighting the flames as ordinary Londoners did in 1666. Using Minecraft versions of 17th-century leather buckets, fire squirts, gunpowder and even a wooden, hand-pumped fire engine from the Museum of London’s collections, players will learn the most effective ways of combatting the blaze.

2K and Hangar 13 today released a new trailer for Mafia III titled “Father James and John Donovan – The Mentors,” the sixth and final video feature in a series introducing players to the key characters in the upcoming open-world crime game. This video highlights Mafia III protagonist Lincoln Clay’s mentors: Father James Ballard, the spiritual and adoptive father figure, and John Donovan, CIA handler and trusted source who served with Lincoln in Vietnam. Both will guide Lincoln during his path of vengeance against the Italian Mafia.

Global publisher My.com and developer NetEase revealed today more information about the closed beta of Revelation Online, a new MMORPG set in a fantasy open world. Disclosing a free to play business model, Revelation Online’s beta for Europe and North America is planned for October 2016. The first closed beta will encompass an early version of the beginning stage of the game. Players will get a first hands on with the rich character customization of Revelation Online and explore fantastic dungeons and story-driven adventures.

Air Missions: HIND
Developer 3Division today released a big content update for their action combat flight simulator Air Missions: HIND. Besides Steam Workshop Support with the introduction of a Mission Editor, players can now bring fresh new units into action. Air Missions: HIND is a combat simulator based on the Russian Mi-24 Hind assault helicopter. The title is currently available for $16.99/16,99€ as an Early Access Game on Steam and is planned to be fully released in early 2017.

Esper: The Collection
Developer Coatsink announced today Esper, predecessor to the critically-acclaimed Esper 2, will launch on Oculus Rift on September 1st 2016 as part of a new bundle called Esper: The Collection. Both Esper games originally launched on Samsung Gear VR, before Esper 2 joined the launch line-up on Oculus Rift in March. The bundle will replace Esper 2 on the Oculus store, meaning existing owners of Esper 2 will automatically receive the first game for free. New players will be able to purchase the bundle for $14.99, £10.99, €14.99.
