Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China

As the big things of this world — governments, corporations, institutions — are losing traction, independent air-combat action game Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China (FTSOC) grinds along like an old riverbarge up Burma’s Salween gorge, fending off Japanese assaults on the left while expecting Allied reinforcements from the right.  Live on Steam now, this straight-forward update adds a good amount of content and bugfixes that the studio has simply decided to call it “COCKPIT/CAMPAIGN”. Check out the voiced trailer for a thorough overview.

Valkyrie Drive

If you’ve ever wondered exactly what a weaponised woman is and what it all means,  then feast your eyes on the Valkyrie Drive trailer and the outrageously hyper-moe action it brings. This action heavy naughty brawler comes to us from the creators of Senran Kagura and features ultra-fast hack and slash action with a focus on aerial combat, multiple characters to master, 28 story missions and arena based online multiplayer. In the world of Valkyrie Drive, a group of girls have been infected with the mysterious Armed Virus. When infected, the girls either become Extars who transform into high powered weapons when sexually aroused, or Liberators who after triggering a transformation, have the power to wield the Extar’s weapon form, the Liberator Arms. When the sisters Rinka and Ranka arrive on the island of Bhikkhuni, hoping to be cured of their infection, a new world of surprises and dangers await them!

Aenigma Os

Re-inventing the way a colours-based puzzle game can work, Aenigma Os cuts out all the luck, all the artificial difficulty, all the unfairness and puts complete control in your hands – it’s complete freedom, albeit in two dimensional grid form, but freedom nonetheless. Aenigma Os was created with one goal in mind – to deliver a fast paced puzzle game that gave the player unparalleled control over their fate. With colour matching gameplay based around the concept of chains containing gaps, that consist of alternate colours, there is a huge degree of flexibility in matchmaking possibilities. When this is combined with the player’s ability to choose the direction of the resulting sliding pieces and new refills, be it up, down, left or right, you get a playfield where players can accurately predict and plan where they want specific pieces to end up. The final result is a game where the player is never left at the mercy of arbitrary refill mechanics – it’s down to the player’s skill to manipulate the grid to provide the kinds of matches they want, and in Aenigma Os they are given the tools to do just that. Aenigma Os hits Wii U on  15th September 2016.
