Miyamori
Canadian studio Sparrow House Games reveals the first gameplay teaser trailer for Miyamori, ahead of its upcoming Kickstarter campaign on October 26th. Long ago, a shrine was built to protect against the evil spirits that were thought to roam the hills Northeast of town, and has been guarded by two foxes: Izuna and Gedo. When Gedo disappears, the shrine’s protective power is thrown out of balance and strange things start to happen. Miyamori is a single-player, 2D action-adventure platformer based on Japanese folklore, in which you take turns playing as Suzume and Izuna to investigate a series of strange events and purify the land of mischievous spirits. Inspired by a 2013 university exchange to Akita, Northern Japan, Joshua also based his research on books such as the Tales of Tono and the works of Miyazawa Kenji, to make Miyamori an enchanting story of love, loss and community with the help of artists Lachlan Cartland and Kevin Hong.

Developer Allods Team and global publisher My.com announce that the first round of closed beta testing for Cloud Pirates will start on October 18. The first closed beta will run for one week, ending on October 24, and all players who have purchased the Cloud Pirates founder packs will have guaranteed access the closed beta. In the closed beta, players will get an opportunity to try twenty one playable ships within three weight-categories on four different maps via four different game modes such as: Deathmatch, Control Point Capture, Deadman’s Chest, and Payload Escort.
