Titanfall will forever be a Microsoft exclusive on console, but Respawn want to see sequels on PS4

In planning to write this news item,  I searched “Titanfall” on Google. After writing the “Titanf” part, the second suggested search was “Titanfall Ps4.” I have bad news for you Google, Titanfall will not be coming to PS4 – at least in its current form.

This news comes direct from the game’s publisher EA, where as part of their recent financial call revealed the game would be a Microsoft console exclusive.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen commented “In the case of Titanfall, it’s a brand new IP and it’s exclusive only for the life of the title on Xbox One and Xbox 360 and PC.

During the financial call EA boasted that Titanfall would be one of the highlights of the upcoming fiscal year for the comapny, and complimented the developer Respawn for their work on the title,  revealing that was “ahead of target, in some ways”.

After news broke, Vince Zampella, head honcho of Respawn (official title) took to Twitter to comment.

Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(,” he commented on the recent news.

When asked by a fan if this means the developer would ever work on PS4 in the future, he commentedOf course we will, just not the first Titanfall.

So, Titanfall will still release on March 11th for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, nothing has changed there, but who knows what the future will bring?
