Ukrainian developer, GSC Game World have announced they are working on a new entry in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series – S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat for PC. That is just a working title apparently, although it might stick.

Call of Pripyat will be the third stand-alone release for the series since it started in 2007, and continued in 2008 with Clear Sky. The game is currently set for release in autumn should all things go to plan.

Unlike Clear Sky, Call of Pripyat will not be a prequel, and instead be a direct continuation of the events of  S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

GSC Game World boast that the game will have a new story, with a collection of unique characters offering new a new extended system of side quests. A new A-Life system will be on show too, created using the players’ best-liked elements of the first two games. A new easier to use player’s interface will be on show as well.
