Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter

There is a Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter now, for a HD remake

The Leisure Suit Larry guys have a Kickstarter going.

They are not making a brand new game; instead they are remaking the 1987 release Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards in HD. They want $500,000.

They have already got the Leisure Suit Larry license “out of the hands” of Big Software, and have convinced Al Lowe to come out of retirement to work on this “top-to-bottom re-imagining of his 25-year-old creation.

On the Kickstarter page, they comment the new version of the game will be updated with a “modern point-and-click/touchscreen interface.” It will also include “updated, ultra-high res graphics,” and a collection of “fully voiced characters.”

If they exceed their goal, more is promised, including other versions of the game (on XBLA, PSN, Android, iPads, iPhones, and even Mac). An orchestral soundtrack is promised too – if they get over $500,000.

The usual $15 (aka £9.50ish) is the lowest pledge to get your hands on a digital copy of the game when released. Higher pledges, as usual, result in more stuff, including a Collector’s Edition of the game for $100.

If you are rich, you can even be in the game (as a pervert) for $5,000 – this is better than it sounds.
