The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine

The upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3 entitled Blood and Wine is expected to add 30+ hours of new gameplay and is set in a beautifully colourful wine country, and boy does it deliver.

The new area in the expansion promises to be as big as the main game area “Novigrad” and this big area is full of Knights-errant who wander around hoping to become heroes. The tone in the expansion is much lighter than previous ones but overall the gameplay is set to be more challenging.

Geralt gets a house! Well this is certainly one for the books as before he’s never called anywhere but Kaer Morhen home which is more a headquarters than a home. The house/mini-mansion is gifted to him by the people who brought him here to solve their problem. The house provides Geralt with a base of operations in which Geralt can store items and has upgrades that can be added like Armor and Alchemy stations.

Fairy tales may come true as Geralt is set to explore some of the more pop culture fairy tales and i’m sure a few Polish ones thrown in for good measure.

There is also a unicorn.

It’s shaping up to be the best expansion for the game so far and with plenty of ground to explore and new things to discover we’re sure it will keep you busy for well over 30 hours. The expansion is set for release on 31st May on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
