Sony’s digital day 1 initiative – no reason to leave home
If you own a PS3 hooked up to the Play Station Network, this October could be very magical indeed. A new initiative announced earlier today by Sony means that you will now be able to pre-order some of October’s, perhaps even the year’s, best and most anticipated games. This deal is made even sweeter if you happen to be a PlayStation Plus member, who will be able to enjoy some of these fantastic games at a reduced 10% price. At the moment, the eight games announced for the Day 1 Digital initiative are as follows:
- Resident Evil 6 – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 2nd for $59.99
- NBA 2K13 – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 2nd for $59.99 and is eligible for the 10% discount, pushing the price down to $53.99 with pre-order.
- Dishonored – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 9th for $59.99 and is eligible for the 10% discount, pushing the price down to $53.99 with pre-order.
- DOOM 3: BFG Edition – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 16th for $39.99 and is eligible for the 10% discount, pushing the price down to $35.99 with pre-order.
- 007: Legends – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 16th for $59.99 and is eligible for the 10% discount, pushing the price down to $55.99 for the first week of availability
- Medal Of Honor: Warfighter – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 23rd for $59.99
- Need For Speed: Most Wanted – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 30th for $59.99 and is eligible for the 10% discount, pushing the price down to $55.99 with pre-order.
- Assassin’s Creed III – Will be able to be downloaded on October the 30th for $59.99 and is available for pre-order.
