Rise of the Tomb Raider Goes Gold

According to Rise of the Tomb Raider’s Tumbler page the game has gone gold, on both Xbox One and 360, ahead of its November 10th release date. There’s not much else for us to say here, but Head of Product Development, Darrell Gallagher, had this to say:

“We are pleased to confirm that gamers will be able to get their hands on Rise of the Tomb Raider very soon, when the game launches on November 10th. The entire team challenged themselves to improve on the last game which millions of fans enjoyed so much, and we believe we have created a worthy sequel to Tomb Raider 2013. With the game development now complete we are excited to share this incredible next chapter in Lara’s journey as she continues her growth into the ultimate action adventure icon, and accepts her destiny to become the Tomb Raider.”

It sounds like Crystal Dynamics have really outdone themselves this time, but you’ll have to wait until you get your hands on the game, or some reviews go live, in order to tell if their efforts were worth it. In the meantime DarkZero has an abundance of Tomb Raider coverage for you to check out. If you haven’t already seen the collector’s edition here it is, if you were expecting to play Rise of the Tomb Raider with your friends you’ll be disappointed. With that being said there’s plenty to do on your own. Lastly if you haven’t read about the games DLC, and some other fun stuff, click here.

Oh we promise this really is the last thing but Tomb Raider isn’t the only Xbox game to go gold this week, Halo 5 beat them to the punch by two days.
