Payday 3 confirmed

Swedish development studio and publisher Starbreeze has announced that they have purchased the rights to the successful crime game Payday for a cool $30 million. Part of this purchased includes the right to all future development and commercials around the game.

Starbreeze as of May 1st will gain full net revenue for the game Payday 2 on the Steam platform and the Payday games on mobile platforms. The console version of the game will be divided 50-50 with 505 games as it was before the deal occurred.

505 will also gain 33% of the profit from Payday 3 up to $40 million to recuperate the cost of marketing and development cost around the game. As part of this announcement they also confirmed Payday 3, other than confirming its existence there was no other information shared.

This is good news to the 14 million people who are already apart of the Payday franchise. Starbreeze also stated that Payday 2 will be getting at least another 18 months of support.
