Nintendo releases new details about Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem

Since E3 there has been little droplets of information here and there about the upcoming crossover title Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (also known as Genei Ibun Roku #FE, the official title in Japan). There is still a lot of confusion about what the game is, how it combines the two series and how much of Shin Megami Tensei really translates into Persona. Unfortunately a lot of information relating to these questions are still being left unanswered but Nintendo is willing to put out more trailers and detail what retail releases the game is going to receive. This week Nintendo released two new trailers introducing characters from the new game. One of them focuses on the main male character, Itsuki Aoi, who many believe will be the main character of the game. The other, longer trailer gives details on most of the characters in the game with a focus on the main female character, Tsubasa Oribe, along with details about why Chrom is in the game.

Thanks to youtube channel Luyairis, there is a fan translation to english that gives us a better understanding about what is happening in the second trailer. So if you would rather have the option of understanding what is going on check out the video below.

This past week Famitsu also released details about the game’s physical release in japan including a special edition of the game and a Wii U deluxe bundle. You can check that out over here.
