New Shin Megami Tensei IV gameplay trailer – “The Samurai Way”

We know that Atlus’s RPG Shin Megami Tensei IV will be released later on July 16th in North America, but a new trailer has given us more information as to what changes we can expect in the latest iteration of the series.

The trailer mentions a new demon fusion mechanic, where you’ll be able to create and modify demons that can be used as allies in battle. Additionally, the promise of dungeons and dual-screen battles promises to continue the legacy of the series past games.

While some Japanese RPGs tend to be weird for weird’s sake, this one is looking to be a pleasant release in an otherwise slow RPG summer. More information as we get it.
