LittleBigPlanet Vita devs bringing Frozen Synapse: Tactics to PS3 and Vita

After the critical success for the Vita version of LittleBigPlanet, it seems the developers at Double Eleven are now handling another critical acclaimed game – this time  porting and self-publishing the once PC exclusive Frozen Synapse to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems.

Paul Taylor, the co-founder and joint MD of Mode 7, said,

Frozen Synapse proved that turn- based strategy doesn’t have to be about people with misguided beards prodding tanks into lonely hexagons. We have put our trust in Double Eleven to translate our original vision for a PlayStation audience; they have impressed us with their commitment to creating a completely new version for Sony’s awesome hardware. We can’t wait to see what they come up with.

Nothing much is known at this point, but it is clear that the game is keeping the asynchronous multiplayer feature from the original game, along with getting a shiny new look, as Demi Gounari, Art Director on the new project, is stated saying,

We are thrilled to be working on Frozen Synapse; our vision is to reinvent the game’s aesthetics and interactivity in the sameway that Mode7 reinvented strategy gaming with this title.

We are not entirely sure what other additions or changes will be happing, but with the Vita system packed with a multitude of inputs, it is exciting to see how Double Eleven adapts Frozen Synapse: Tactics for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita when it hits its release in 2013.
