I experienced the same trouble with movement recognition. Even on the easiest mode the pose with both with arms to one side never registered.

As a newcomer to the series the control mechanism seems overly complicated. Instead of focusing on just the rhythm, you have to worry about three heights, so all your attention is on the little discs and you miss everything going on in the background. Perhaps if there were only two height levels it may have played better and one would have felt able to take in the sights.

Soundtrack and presentation are good, this is a game I'd rather watch than play. The inclusion of Santana - Smooth was warmly received.
