Anyone know if someday this’ll have the same fate as PSO? That the monthly fee will be taken away EVENTUALLY? Because for me and my friends (360 Live players) all we are stuck doing is playing the Demo (it’s online and there’s no fee, but it’s just sooooo boring after a while and not updated). Something I wonder though is this: the monthly fee we Xbox users pay goes to M$ (typical), so why not just make Silver users pay and gold members get it free? I mean what the freaking hell M$? Trying to recover from Bill Gates leaving you? Good God.

Of course people are gonna talk in story mode. But that’s no excuse for the dialogue being utterly boring and shit.

PSU is waaay cheaper then WoW, and actually cheaper then runescape.

Also the first story kicked total ass, and only immature saps who dont know how to read, or listen, wouldnt understand that.

the second story sucked balls, you just followed around some instructor who was a total bitch to everyone /insertEMOhere\

as for the third, ethans back in, bitch is outta here, and things are getting half-decent.

and as someone previously stated, yeah obviously their gonna talk in story mode. THATS WHAT IT IS STORY MODE, NOT SURVIVAL MODE.

As i do agree about the story being a bit dry, you must remember that it is a J-RPG the dialogue always sucks and that will never change and the online isnt much of a prize either you always got people try to sell porn in one form or an other also the fee even though it is cheap despite its point and click mmo buddies overly expensive fees should be striken well just for XboxLive users who already have to pay a fee. And to say the game is difficult is so wrong the game is a cake walk compare to the original PSO games.

Bit of a late reply here.. but as for story mode, of course it’s going to have.. gasp.. talking. If you just wanna play do the other stuff there is to do. O.o

I personally like story mode, Episode 3 mostly. It’s been so much better than the other two episodes it’s amazing.

There is in fact a widescreen mode in AotI, but only one (1280×720). Some people don’t see it on the menu, but it’s just a conflict with some graphics card that can be fixed.

It is possible to flip through the dialog text by holding your ‘A’ and ‘Down’ button equivalents. If you replay most story missions it will allow you to skip many of these sequences entirely.

Episode 3 of the online story has introduced some character decisions. It still isn’t Mass Effect, but it does often affect the outcome. This episode is actually less about Ethan and more about you. It’s a clear improvement in comparison to the earlier episodes.

To clarify your statement about monthly fees as the wording might be confusing to some: If PSU is the only game you play online, you only need to pay its fee. You aren’t required to pay Live’s in addition (only if you play other games).
