Podcast 36 – Hallowe’en Beast

Podcast 36 Large

By way of an apology for last week’s absence, we’ve got a MEGA SORT-OF HALLOWE’EN SPECIAL for you this week. But be warned: the show’s about twice as long as usual, so we hope you’ve got a long train journey lined up. That, or a really, really long poo.

After our usual chat about what we’ve been playing (Borderlands, Dragon Age, Tekken 6, and some other rubbish), we throw in a recording of Sean attempting to play Dead Space with (hopefully) entertaining results. Sadly he never actually screamed at any point, but there is a lot of fear-swearing.

In the final section we share our thoughts about the recent Eurogamer Expo, complete with interviews and recordings made live at the event. We almost sound a bit professional at a couple of points. It’s a bit weird.

Join us next week, when we really should have some thoughts on Modern Warfare 2, but none of us will because we haven’t had chance to buy it yet, and Sean’s 360 has red-ringed. Oh, and the artwork will make sense when you listen to the podcast. Maybe.

Love you! x

    Quality cast there lads!

Borderlands = Excellent! I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying it!

Shoot and Loot = I’d shoot my load in that game! ;-)

Mass Effect 2 = Load times? The original was terrible for load times! Have they improved on this?

Love the Dead Space segment, it sounds terrifying! But is it like any horror film/game, play it with the sound down and it’s nowhere near as scary?

Look forward to your thoughts on MW2… after completing the story in just over 5 hours I’m interested to hear what you guys think, and if I agree!?

    Till next time!

  2. In fairness Sean. I’m ok with scary games, but Gregory horror show is one of the scariest games i’ve ever played. I was scared by Res evil 4 the first run, and silent hill and F.E.A.R. but theyre nothing compared to Gregory horror show. I did complete it, but only because I was determined not to pussy out of it. Graphics have nothing to do with it, and the atmosphere and sence of isolation in that game is second to none.
