Podcast 2 – March 2007
With the arrival of the PS3, the console war has officially commenced in Europe – and what better way to mark the occasion than with another lengthy podcast?
After an unintelligible but incredibly high-budget intro and the usual “what’ve you been playing?” banter, we take an in-depth look at the European launch of the PS3, its implications for the Wii and 360, and how the Little Big Planet presentation at this year’s GDC has turned everything on its head (via use of the PhysX engine).
We then go on to talk about the best games of the previous generation that somehow managed to fly under the radar, but can now be picked up for about a tenner and played on your shiny new backwards-compatible console. So, if you like games, war, and people talking too closely to the microphone so that it distorts a bit, you could do a lot worse than give this new podcast a spin.
