Right, this is it – the last bit of E3 chat before we officially put the subject to bed. This week we tackle the Electronic Arts and Ubisoft conferences, and take a surprisingly long time doing so. Still, the resulting podcast can’t be any more boring than Ubisoft’s conference, can it?
Highlights:
- Seth enjoys Shenmue II, until he realises he doesn’t have the last disc
- Sean really likes Magic: The Gathering on XBLA
- Sean also has a girlfriend, so shut up
- Ian plays Metal Gear Solid 4, discovers gun porn
- Massive discussion about Prototype, complete with conflicting standpoints, and everything
Then there’s all the guff about the conferences. So, plenty of rubbish to get your ears, minds and hearts around. Although you can pretty much switch off once the discussion about whether or not Robert Carlyle was in ’60s TV drama Heartbeat begins. Unless you’re into that kind of thing. We’re not judging.
And if he was in Heartbeat, you find the proof and you send it in to us, immediately.
Um… see you next week!

Please see pronunciation. Thanks.

Yes, because I never thought of looking it up before contradicting absolutely everyone. Even Reggie himself says ‘fills-amay’, but this only reveals him as an idiot who can’t pronounce his own name properly. Where’s the acute accent on the ‘e’?

This should have been called “The One Where Sean Was Wrong About Everything”.

Actually, I nearly called it ‘IAN AND SETH ARE A PAIR OF FAT NONCES’.
Still, there’s always next week!

Good evening pod people…
Shenmue: Seth: I could lend you the 2nd half of 2 if you want.
Yep, I remember the wallet stealing. Rage-quit and never went back.
…
Excellent Duelmasters story. 8-]
…
Did we skip what Seth’s been playing?
…
The stroke everything joke popped into my head just before Ian said it. Grats Ben! “For he’s a jolly good fellow…”
……
Mass Effect 2: I played 1st one, went to random planet, did first thig, did second thing which was a fairly big slog through a bad guy base, went to final thing on planet, fuckers one-shot sniped me. Game dumped me back to start of planet. Rage-quit, never returned!
…
Rolf Harris should totally be in Brutal Legend.
…
Ultimate game combo: Miyamoto teams up with Mizuguchi and Takahashi to make Legend of Zelda Online; Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert work on the localisation.
…
Heh. Robert Carlyle didn’t play Hostile Witness, that was the name of the episode.
…
Surely PS3 motion = sixaxis?

Whoah! I bow to your vastly superior Carlyle knowledge, man.

… and I just realised I commented on what Seth’s been playing, then asked why we hadn’t heard what Seth’s been playing.
I are dumb as fuck.

Phil, all would be forgiven if you would lend me the second half of Shenmue 2. I would even send it back with a fiver in it
And Rolf Harris is clearly an undiscovered metal legend.
If Fumito Ueda was also working on your ultimate game, then its sheer awesomeness would destroy the universe.
