Podcast 14 – Rebirth.

podcast-14-large

Wahey! We’re back. And this time, we’ve got a proper podcast for you. Andi disappears for 10 minutes or so because his brilliant new PC turned out to not be so brilliant after all, but we’ll be surprised if you miss him. We certainly didn’t. Although his disappearance did force Sean to make some awkward edits to make things flow properly.

So, what did we talk about this week?

- New Fable 2 DLC – if you like Fable 2, you’ll love more Fable 2!!!!!!!!
-
Literally one million iPhone/iPod Touch games came out this week.
- Andi now owns a PS3. Rejoice!
- Fallout 3 DLC adds stupid perks for idiots.
- Nobody can bring themselves to care about the Terminator: Salvation game.
- Some anti-Nintendo rubbish.

Oh, and the music is shamelessly nicked from the brilliant Muscle March trailer. Watch it, if you haven’t already.

See you next week!

  1. What makes a man neutral? Bioshock antisipation moment.

How come you guys didn’t mention the news that the next Zelda allows you to skip differcult bits and I quote ’so that less experienced players can still feel a sense of achievement’ if you feel a sense of achievement for something you haven’t done your an idiot…

I really do enjoy these podcasts now!

  2. Nice one guys, the sound quality was much improved.

Funnily enough I spotted Flashback on the App Store just before listening. It was quite a shock to see such an important Amiga game on there.

An interesting quote from one of the app developers:

“There’s nothing shady and we’re not trying to hide anything. We did contact past members of Delphine Software to obtain distribution rights and they explained that the rights were lost when the company went bankrupt in 2002 and were therefore had no commercial interest.”

Still, it’s a massive shame the money won’t go to the people behind the game. Nobody deserves to cash in more than the early gaming pioneers.

Not sure I’ll get it quite but apparantly the control issues have been fixed. http://flashback.manomio.com/

Downloaded Peggle at the weekend. Currently undecided on it but I can see why it’s a good time-killer.

  3. Hey guys, that was the first time I’ve listened to the podcast, and it was freakin’ brilliant. Really funny banter but mixed with really informative stuff, good work!
