Xbox Live Downtime Scheduled Next Week

The hard working folks at Microsoft have revealed that they are planning to shut down their Xbox Live service for a whole day next week. they have stated that they will turn it off at 7pm BST and it will remain offline for “up to 24 hours“. Reasons for the offline period range from ” Because we’re adding some cool stuff,” (well that’s what Xbox.com says anyway) but they wont tell us anymore until “we’re back online October 18“.
