Can't wait to do some multiplayer with friends on this. Halo 1&2 led to some great times - i expect Halo3 to do the same. :rotfl:

What I want to know is if they're going to give us more endless single player tedium. Graphically it looks the same but I expected as much. Halo 2 is perhaps one of the most unambitious sequels ever.

Remember that this is the Alpha build and it is just laying the basic groundwork for the title. There are no advanced graphical effects shown. Also the build is very old, possibly from sometime last year and along with that these are shots that were not suppposed to be seen outside of Bungie and some important press types (note the blacked out serials)... I would not draw munch conclusions from these images.

Ohhhh, so this isn't the updated Halo 3 beta ? I thought the alpha stage of the beta test had been opened and someone took some screeny's.

Crackdown is not offically out yet so it is impossible it is the beta. This is the build Bungie themselves play as they wor out stuff and what the testers for the company play to work out bugs... the beta might look like this but the screen as most likely from a really old build sometime from late 2006.
